>Can somebody photoshop X? Can somebody make me a logo?
All requests for photoshopping belong on /wsr/ - Worksafe Requests or /r/ - Adult Requests. /gd/ doesn't take requests or do free or even paid work sometimes. However, if you're new at something, asking "HOW can I X?" rather than "CAN YOU make X?" will give you better results.

>Can I post some of my work for critique?
There is usally a critique/What-Are-You-Working-On thread, and that is where work for critique go.

>Can somebody find [font]?

also check out your local torrent site or the font-share thread.
Remember to share and not just take. Also remember that using liscensed fonts in commercial works is a bad idea.

Paint Tool SAI 2 (pirated) then save whatever the fuck you made as PSD then change it into whatever the fuck you want in Illustrator (pirated). I have been working using this method for the past 4 years and nothing bad has happened.

Ah yeah, I'm familiar with some basic CSS functions but that's helpful, thanks.
And I couldn't find the right webpage from archive.org, but I did find this cool page. A bit broken even with Ruffle but I can still feel the sovl.

Does anyone have the Berkeley Mono (https://berkeleygraphics.com/typefaces/berkeley-mono/) full please?

One was shared years ago on files.catbox.moe but the link has since expired.

https://files.catbox.moe/55jvt8.zip

I downloaded this one from somewhere a month or two back, it had a broken grave (u0060 `, would overlap onto characters typed in certain places like Windows Terminal and vscode), so I went into fontforge and edited the character (Element>Glyph Info>OT Glyph Class> Mark --> Base Glyph).

this is v1.008, not the newest v1.009 (couldn't find it anywhere)

alegria is one (of many) names for the widely used illustration style that you associate with tech companies.
you can find the wiki article under its more widely known name 'memphis':
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_Memphis

people here have a tradition of equating this style with political believes they themselves do not identify with, which keeps them stuck in a perpetual cycle of unintelligently ranting against it.
it is the careworn midwit version of a political statement, "disguised" as an artistic/cultural criticism (...or sth. I am not even sure what it is supposed to be). sure, you *could* have interesting conversations about artistic characteristics of that style or the anthropological context it is coming from. but from experience this forum is not the right place to do so in a productive/insightful manner

>>

as cringe and funny as they are they have soul. since the people making them are trying to express a feeling. Even if it is tacky, its genuine.

>genuine expressions going on being delivered in a tacky way
I feel like genuine expression is the biggest thing lacking in art at the moment
everyone just wants to make a statement or signal this or that with no real desire to get THEIR emotions across, but the emotions of whatever they've ascribed themselves to projecting

Hey everyone! I'm new here and i don't really know how this all works but i made my website some time ago now and didn't get much feedback from it, about the design etc...

I'm very curious what y'all think about it, what i should change/improve/get rid of/etc...
Design-wise but also on the overall, comments on anything is welcome! :)

It's a very basic portfolio showing some of my work, still a junior so i don't have much to put in there but i'm working on sub projects to add.

Here's the link:
https://romain-gerard.com/
and thanks in advance :)
>>
looks fine but the images you are using in your projects are low quality.
you can get good quality pictures from unsplash.com
>>
>>454408
sort projects from newest to oldest
decrease border radius on things
make dropshadow on elements more subtle, not black, more like grayish/bluish and blurred a little
not understanding "new presences" element, might be good to make it more obvious what is it/changing it
"3 words to describe myself" sounds like something out of hr talk, I would be seriously considering yeeting this out
"Some other competences i like to touch" also kinda sounds strange, it kinda implies that you everyday work with JS, but only occasionally with CSS and HTML

Besides that, overaly pretty good portfolio, seems that you're doing things and learning more. Keep it up. As a personal advice, if you wanna learn something, try to learn react/angular and some backend framework like Nest.js or other alikes. Work with node, also learn opsing a little, it's very helpful.

Rien à redire sur le design mais retravaille le texte au plus vite. Littéralement la première phrase que l'on est amené à lire n'a aucun sens, on dirait que c'est de la traduction auto :

Then you should know that at the current year of 2023 graphic design is pretty much dead. I was a professional gd for almost 10 years working in both studios and on my own and I can't really find a job anymore. It's not even because of AI to be honest, its because of how the industry works and how bad the corporate environment has become.

There's still web design, 3D and VFX/motion design(primarily 3D too) and if you want something similar or easy to transition then chose one of those but I'm not sure for how long they will be relevant themselves because of the AI which is basically a final nail in the coffin of gd. Of course there are and will be exceptions and maybe you will get lucky to find some obscure local business that needs you, but if you are young and looking for a career in the future you should stop consider becoming a graphic designer. This profession is dead.

The goal is to have a place I can point clients to when they ask "Do you use AI in your work?".

It's a polarizing, nuanced topic - so I wanted to share deeper context and examples of how AI-generated assets can be part of brand identity.

For me, AI speeds up the execution phase, unlocking more time for exploration and creating new modes of visual expression that would often be cost-prohibitive for early-stage companies.
>>
>>454445
Jesus, are we really going to have AI "designers".
>>
>>454445
Makes sense. Whenever I made a logo, I'd want to spend 90% of the time in strategy, instead of execution, but it was very difficult to get people to pay for it. "We just want something simple" well yeah, I can recreate any logo in about 5 minutes but probably a good idea to research if it's a new idea or if there are better ways of doing it rather than going with one of the first 5 iterations.

Last april, i went to magadan in the far east. people were still driving old cars, and the cans around them had a gradient design with cyrillic letters. I wanted to live here. but soon i had to return to my home in south korea. in there, tradition has been killed. my feeling at the time is that i want to send some mail with the charger to airport, university.
Flat design ruined my life, and annoying me until death. flat design based on pragmatism and materialism.everyone loves the old skeuomorphism, but it's crazy that flat design still exists today.

Nobody said that it "doesn't exist", the truth is quite the opposite-

All graphic design or artwork that exists on a surface in which if any two points are chosen, a straight line joining them lies wholly in that surface is by definition "flat design".

Marketing switches their logos and packaging every few years so that creative directors can pretend to comply things. Take cola cans for example, they flip between gradients and then go to a clean design, then back to gradients. I guess people’s eyes get used to something and the culture as a whole shifts and the overall design language changes, like fashion.m, goes in circles.

I'm fucking around with some UV maps and need painting advice. The only real tool at my disposal is Gimp, but I have some photoshop experience.

I want to clean up the blood, make multiple skin variants, and paint on some goggles/remove the collar. How would you guys go about this? Thank youuu
>>
I guess I could do a color overlay and avoid areas like the teeth and eyes using layering
>>

I would use gimp

I need to generate a very long building as pixel art. The picture should not be 1024x1024 square, it should be 1024x4096 or 1024x8192 long. What can I use to do this?

if in graphic program, just change canvas size, if you're asking for game engine, just tile it. If you're asking about generating with ai, kys nigger. If you can't find params on your own and you're asking us without even stating platform, you should really crush your balls with hammer. Otherwise you're welcome.
