Didn't the guy who did all thenihei figs leave the company and start rereleasing them with his own company?
>>
>>10962283
The company is TEST, but I had also heard that they're like a subsidiary of 1000Toys, though I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm kinda worried about them though, I've seen some QC complaints on their synthetic human female reissue, and they have a scale statue they produced release last December that's still in stock on HLJ and Amiami, as well as another on preorder that's pretty expensive for its scale.

I think the true best articulation setup is 10 POA: head, shoulders, torso, hips, hands and feet, with everything being a combination of ball or swivel hinge. You can do almost anything with this setup and yet it's still basic enough to allow easy movement based play with ease(like acting out a sword or gunfight, a figure running, etc in real time while actually moving the figure) which is all but impossible on more complex figures.

All of these joints are also basically guaranteed to work well and allow significant change in what the figure looks like or is doing. More specialized joints like knees and elbows down to bicep and thigh swivels, toe joints, whatever else are a lot of extra cuts for usually not much of a reward. Many of these joints also run the risk of not being very well designed, like figures not being able to bend their elbows very far or two hand a weapon naturally despite having 16+ POA.

Anyway I do also really love 5POA, but think at this point it feels outdated and simple changes that wouldn't impact the look at all should be standard on new retro style figs, like swivel waist and hands.
>>
>>10960249
People that hate 5POA probably hate it because they can't lie to themselves about the fact that they buy TOYS. It doesn't matter if your "collectable figure" cost 300 bucks, it's a toy. 5POA is embracing the hobby in its purest form.
>>
>>10961738
I sorta agree. While i also like 5poa i also really enjoy figures with around 10 poa like those old ninja turtle figures who had moveable wrists or those marvel epic hero 4 inch figures and spin masters 4 inch batman figures with similar articulation as you described
>>10961749
I find people embarrassed by the hobby like that to be pathetic. I love the fact that i collect toys and i play with them like they were meant to be played with i dont even like all those high import lines that alot of anons here do anyways

Maybe thats a Figma policy? I think they're the only ones I can recall doing that, and I'm thinking about reissues from years ago, I doubt they can sustainably do it anymore.
>>
>>10961617
Only if it's literally the exact same product. I.E: Gunpla reissues albeit those have some new logos on the box. This is technically a new because of the completely different box design.
>>
>>10961587
That’s a lot of work for an expensive figure.
>>
>>10961784
How lazy are you you can't dig up a hairdryer or hot water for like a 1 min task? Price doesn't matter 20 dollars figure or 100 dollars figure they still use the exact same shitty materials. Importantly PVC, which easily deforms by heat. You collect toys, this should be second nature.
>>
>>10961853
Maybe you have gotten used to corporate bootlicking but can't you see the truth emanating from one new to the cause?

Besides, some recognize this issue and deal with it: hands on pegs for example. Now we just need little pegs in every hole so the experience is as seamless as possible.

-We have e-mails for a reason. USE THEM.
-Be sure to have PRICES (with photos preferably) in your SALE listings - NO "feeler" posts, just post the thing with a price.
-Ignore price-policing posts, as someone will ALWAYS complain. E-mail the seller and communicate accordingly if pricing is an issue.
-I'll save you the effort: check Mandarake, either for pricing (if selling), or for availability (if buying).

This is what I already do with any figures/keychains/pins etc that are 4oz or less at the moment - both bulk discounts, and after the initial flat shipping amount each additional only adds a few cents to the ship cost. Works best for listings with variations (dropdown menu stuff), like putting a whole bunch of keychains from a single series into one listing, but eBay tends to actively give those less views since they can't run Best Offers on them and their algorithm is what it is.

In the end, I'm mainly wondering if there's anywhere this kind of stuff tends to go besides eBay as far as weeb-specific marketplaces. If eBay is what it is, then eBay is what it is, but my god does this marketplace seem dead.

how much a helmet adds depends on the helmet, but still, barely 4" at 1:18 scale WITH helmet? 4" = 6', so you're totally a manlet regardless.

Also, it really says a lot about the state of SW because i haven't bought a SW figure in years.

A helmets thickness varies, but at most, would add no more than 2" to ones height. Regardless that's a negligible amount. It's close enough, really.

I found one of the dudes from this line at a flea market for $5 years back, but his hip snapped clean off as soon as I tried to move it. Super disappointing, as while not the most articulate of figures, he still looked pretty cool. I have to drill out the joint and hopefully fix him up, but he's been in my project box pretty much since the day I got him.
