>Can somebody photoshop X? Can somebody make me a logo? All requests for photoshopping belong on /wsr/ - Worksafe Requests or /r/ - Adult Requests. /gd/ doesn't take requests or do free or even paid work sometimes. However, if you're new at something, asking "HOW can I X?" rather than "CAN YOU make X?" will give you better results.>Can I post some of my work for critique? There is usally a critique/What-Are-You-Working-On thread, and that is where work for critique go.>Can somebody find [font]?http://www.mediafire.com/download/027xjs3ujvyqxmd/Fonts.zipalso check out your local torrent site or the font-share thread.Remember to share and not just take. These Ai programs are taking our jobs! How are we going to stop the Adobe Illustrator files from taking over?
>fellow designer and I were assigned to assist with designing some banners in Figma>Fellow designer’s title is technically “Art director” so she often feels like she’s the senior or leader despite us sharing the same role on this project>I make a set of banners>next morning I find out she adjusted the headlines on most of my banners>she has a tendency to do this on past projects we’ve worked on with FigmaIs this normal when working with Figma or is my coworker just being a cunt? I wouldn’t be so annoyed by her edits if they were actually good, but every design edit or suggestion she’s made was always poorly received. If I tell her a blend mode should be set to “Lighten” to get a certain look, she’ll say it should be set to “screen”. Then the next day she realizes it should be “lighten” after all. I’ve found her moving some elements into the bleed area of certain templates, just because I guess she thought it looked better, but obviously she didn’t bother to look up the specs of the template.
>>452361>>452361>Is this normal when working with Figma or is my coworker just being a cunt? She's being a cunt.If she wants to make changes, she should be versioning the original files, adding her initials and the version number to the new file name.Figma is a shitty design tool that tries to normalize this kind of shit behavior under the guise of "collaboration.">>452395>I am also a woman.Maybe so, but she sounds like your typical female diversity hire.
>>452395order of hiring is irrelevantif shes he director shes the fucking directorher changing shit is not a conflict with you, its just how she thinks it should goi would suggest asking her why she made the changes she made - in a totally nonconfrontational style (to learn, to get projects flowing better, etc)why is she the last person to touch something before its delivered? so sounds like she is in fact the director.if not, you need to talk to someone over both your heads abut clearing the heirarchy up.ORComment too long. >>452361can Figma replace illustrator?I'm so fucking done with Adobe
>>453148Depends on what you are using it for. Generally no. I was hoping the graphics tools would have improved if the Adobe merger went through.
>>453149this is the thing that pissed me off the most about that sale falling through. Figma's holes would be improved so so so much if adobe had taken over and implemented things they have perfected.
I'm new at life. Can I just drag and drop PDFs or images or something from InDesign into a Microsoft 365 PowerPoint so I can actually use cool type faces and interesting lines and curved text and shit?I've been searching how to do this, but all the sites do all kinds of complicated things where the exported files have to be converted or show up as links in the PP.I'm new at everything and so scared it will fail during the day I present :....( :o
>>453775>so I can actually use cool type faces and interesting lines and curved text and shit? You can't do that in InDesign?
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/canva-acquires-affinity-design-suite-004813952.htmlRIP in peace Affinity Suite, you had such potentialHow do you think they will ruin it bros?
>>453778Judt get a crack when you can no longer authenticate. Hell, I used affinity more often than my pirated adobe for it's better performance in making graphics and signature looks manuals for companies, especially when all suites can be used seamlessly on Publisher. Canva is 100% kosher and will shelf affinity but keep the tools for their online only programs in the future.
>>453789In-Design is so archaic in comparison to Publisher it's laughable. I don't know why Affiinity products weren't mass adopted. I guess being the niche wasn't profitable enough for them.
Canva is FUCKING DOGSHIT. If you work as a sing print designer like me you'd agree.
>>453791InDesign is perfect for magazine and book layouts with master pages, but yeah, it's old but it does the job despite being featureless.
>>453765badly/cookiecutter (where that already exists in the form of templates)

>>453787being creatively bankrupt is one of the requirements of being right-wingthere's a reason all the best artists in the world are/were lefties
>>453815good lord every living system needs both, structure/replication and adaptability/creativity. it is so obviously prevalent in *anything*, that we could call it a law of nature at this point.so just stop glorifying either of them, when clearly the correct amount of them both is beneficial and even a requirement....judging things by some principle is stupid and even obstructive. either you know for a certain instance what decision leads to what outcome or you don't. there is no free lunch.do you hope your simple, reactionary 'things are black and white' shit helps with improving anything?! ANYTHING?are you just trying to congratulate yourself and the nifty little agenda you believe in?because I doubt anybody will change their mind after reading it...honestly just stfu.no matter whether you are 'le right wing or le left wing'. nobody cares about your thoughtless burps. why not keep them for yourself?>yeah, deluded, I know. but hey, one is allowed to have dreams, no?
>>453816if incels are allowed to post boring racist shit on this board, then I'm definitely allowed to post my own opinion. >there is no free lunch.there is though, that's the whole point. we have enough resources on the planet to feed, clothe and shelter all of humanity. but go on and try to defend billionaires, although they would gladly sell you, your mom and your entire family for a measly .0001% increase of their wealth
>>453818you are allowed to do anything! but how is my opinion questioning that?I just think your reaction doesn't change anything for the better.it just deepens the issue we are having....no free lunch is referring to a mathematical fact (no free lunch theorem).basically it says there are no shortcuts. no 'easy principles' to apply for intelligent decision making.instead good solutions need a lot of thought, a lot of energy, a lot of work.call it computational irreducibility. call it a sisyphean principle.either way. acting as if a simple pattern is enough to understand anything is plain wrong.
Not sure if this belongs here but since it's regarding photo manipulation (which counts as graphic design) I might as well try.So I like this genre of edits of women called "Natural/Modular Body Magic", which basically means that they look like they either had their heads magically removed or that they never had any at all but they can live just fine without them (like dullahans), but many of them are pretty shit so I wanted to make some good ones of my own, the problem is that there are no good tutorials online on how to make them, so I was wondering if you guys could guide me on how to make them.Pic related is more or less what I want to achieve, something that looks relatively natural and organic, rather than just a quick and sloppy MS paint job.
>>450951>>451866bruhhh it's not fucking hard>make neck shape>add amputation scars and bumps from a picture of an amputation stump (tutorial if you're too fucking retarded to do that https://youtu.be/WTL0sDrs16Q, https://youtu.be/qJPFp-G6XFQ)>select area where you want the neck holes using the circle or lasso tool>manually draw neck holes using dark colors picked from the shadows of the body
why are you people so insane?

Is MDE/Sam Hyde's current art style cool or embarrassing? Sincere and naive or ironic?
>>449218This. Over the years I've learned to appreciate less complex design as long as it's creative.phdm
>>453518Does Sam even do motion gfx anymore? Seems like he juat pays other people to do it now.
>>447629The stock is definitely in a downward trajectory. Only held up by sam being good at avoiding mainstream memes - these always die in cringe within long.He still slips up, like when he allows his team to dub the massively overrused black man exaggerated laugh audio (the "oh no no no" one) into his videos.Sam just isn't cutting edge any more, and he only focuses on perfecting what he sees as the peak of his aesthetic, and his advice giving internet dad persona. We don't need more of those. The only funny thing he's done in the last 5 years is the video from the boxing fight where he says he's coming for Hasan Piker "in real life"
>>447629World Peace graphics are still some of the best I've ever seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT8vPNsrACo
>>453813I forgot to mention the saddest part, these graphics were what Sam submitted that he made with Pomp&Clout but all the text and WP logos were erased and only the cast names left. Sad stuff.

Anybody know how to recreate the circle pattern of this goreshit album in photoshop?

This is one of my proposals, we could change something that you don't like, you can write to me on my ig @kerosene.co
the last "corporate" aesthetic with soul.
>>439040that makes me want to buy a prius
>>439551Takashi Murakami used a similar aesthetic with his “superflat” style.
>>450030The Neighborhood is literally, "Whites and blacks, living together!", the kind of social equality that his being a doctor was supposed to represent. I'd also point to the Fresh Prince remake, Empire, etc.
>>448816>>448838>>451494I like the style even with its cheapness association, but I'm also a little unnerved with the idea of calling it "comfy" when it's basically colorized art deco.
>>438898I’ll forever miss this
